This is pretty high tech stuff, I can see how it might save on infrastructure costs but I wonder if libraries with more limited budgets could afford it, and if it is necessary in smaller libraries. I can also see how being able to locate reference books would be useful, but if patrons are able to tell who is walking around with a book or what other patrons are reading at any time (and track them down anywhere in the library) I wonder if this might raise privacy issues...
